You’ve Been Spotted
We recently added a fun way to get some free time in front of our camera. 2015 was a year full of changes and growth as a photographer and as a business. As you may have noticed we are slowly moving away from offering family sessions, children, engagements and the like. Moving forward, I wanted to think of a way to get that awesome barista, that incredibly beautiful teller at the bank or that person with a great eye for fashion in front of the camera.
I wanted it to be at no charge, yet without the creepy “guy with a camera” type of interaction. So I decided to print out ten of these 4×6 spotted postcards to hand out throughout the year. I am not exactly the type to just approach someone due to their striking beauty, so this will be a bit of a challenge to force me to get out and talk to more people.
My goal is to start handing out the You’ve Been Spotted cards whenever I see that person that I would normally admire silently from a safe distance. Others set New Years resolutions to lose that ten extra pounds and to spend more time with those close to them, yet I like to be different. For 2016 I have taken on a mentor-ship role with a local senior aspiring photographer and this challenge to get out of my comfort bubble.
I am also considering locations for a vacation at some point this year likely in late spring. If any of you have a great location for sight seeing, art, wildlife, maybe some night life or any combination there-in please leave me a message, as of now I am drawing a blank.
I am excited to see what this year will bring on the personal development side as well as the business. Thank you for all of your support over the past year and here is to a great 2016!
